Hours: 40+ hours
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday

Victory Christian Church is a growing, outward-facing church located in a college town just south of Indianapolis. With a weekly reach of over 1,500 people, our mission is simple and bold: Connecting people back to God. We pursue that mission by engaging the unbeliever, equipping the believer, and preparing every generation to
follow Jesus fully.
We are currently in a season of renovation, revival and growth—and we believe kids ministry is a front-line ministry. Because of that, we are seeking a Kid’s Minister who feels deeply called to help shape the faith of children and partner with parents during some of the most formative years of life.
About the Role
The Kid’s Minister will provide visionary, pastoral, and organizational leadership for Victory Kids (Nursery–4th Grade). This leader will create safe, joyful, gospel-centered environments where kids encounter Jesus in age-appropriate, engaging ways—and where parents feel confident, supported, and equipped to disciple their children at home.
This role requires someone who loves kids, believes in the power of early faith formation, thrives in team leadership, and understands that Sunday isn’t the finish line, but the launch point.
The Kid’s Minister will:
• Lead and develop a large volunteer team
• Build intentional systems for safety, excellence, and growth
• Champion family discipleship
• Collaborate closely with staff and ministry leaders
• Serve as a key voice and leader within Victory’s overall mission and culture
• Work alongside the Next Gen Ministry Team in order to approach the family
holistically in their faith journey
Who We’re Looking For
We are searching for a collaborative, organized, faith-filled leader who brings both warmth and clarity—someone who can cast vision, build teams, and create environments where kids love church and parents trust the church.

• Has a deep, growing relationship with Jesus
• Understands how children learn, grow, and experience faith
• Is creative, organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable
• Leads with humility, joy, and confidence
• Sees volunteers as disciples, not just disciplers
• Believes a standard of excellence honors God and serves families well
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of full-time Kid’s Ministry experience (Nursery–Elementary)
• Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and sustain volunteer teams
• Experience in creating and implementing engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and environments
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proven ability to partner with and equip parents in the spiritual formation of their children
• Passion for creating safe, welcoming, and fun ministry spaces
• Servant-hearted leadership with a commitment to developing others
• A joyful, energetic presence that connects naturally with kids and families
Education & Ministry Training
• Bachelor’s degree in ministry, or a related field (preferred)
• Understanding of child development and faith formation (spiritual, emotional, cognitive, and social)
• Familiarity with family ministry and pastoral care for parents
• Commitment to biblical authority and gospel-centered teaching
Position Details
• Full-time, salaried ministerial position
• 40–50 hours per week, including Sundays
• Reports to the Minister of Worship & Ministry Development
• Works closely with Next Gen and church leadership teams
